So tomorrow I turn 27 weeks pregnant! I definitely feel as if I’ve had a big growth spurt these last few days.. & it seems other’s have noticed too.
The most exciting thing about this time is that I can now see the kicks that occur every night when I am lying still of my back, it’s the strangest thing to witness, my tummy swishing from side to side. I keep calling nick over so that he can see it but typically as soon as he’s there she stops!
I don’t sound to enthusiastic in this post today because I’ve been sick all morning :-( grr I thought I’d seen the back of all that.
I have to say how truly blessed I have been. Despite my sickness lasting a little longer than most (19 weeks) and being hospitalised a handful of times I am SO LUCKY that it didn’t go on beyond then. I have met some ladies who were sick from the moment they discovered their pregnancy to those last pushes in the delivery room! I take my hat off to you ladies I really do.
Ok so this how I spent the whole of New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. This is the very first time that I have completed a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle! Dead proud.
I hope that you all had a lovely New Year’s Eve/ day.
Nick & I have decided that 2013 will be a year of saving as much money as we possibly can.. We are now logging all of our spending to assess exactly where it is all going.
Glad to see that nobody forgot Milly Moo this christmas! She has been spoilt rotten with bits & bobs, best of all the baby monitor that Nick bought with a camera on so we can watch over her in the night 😊
I had a really bad nights sleep last night. I really did feel very pregnant, lying awake between the hours of 1am and 3am, my tummy felt very heavy and awkward. I definitely think that I could do with a pregnancy pillow.. Has anybody used one of those? Are they any good?
I think that my New years resolution should be to go visit my foster mother more often. Afterall, she’s always been so good to me.. but do you ever find yourself speaking on the phone to someone and saying “I’ll be up to see you soon” and then 5 days later time has got away and you still haven’t seen them?
I feel awful that I don’t make more of an effort but I know that she’s so busy herself with the children she is caring for.
On that note I’m going to nip up to her house with her christmas presents before I meet Nick and his colleagues for lunch.
I returned home to Nick standing on the doorstep grinning like a Cheshire Cat this evening, shortly before he presented me with these bodysuit’s he’d had printed for Milly.
How perfect are they!! ❤
Back in college today after a week off, I’m definitely finding that the further along in this pregnancy I get.. The slower I get (especially in the mornings).
I have lots of work to get done today so I’m just going to power through and focus on it being Christmas Day a week today.
The gorgeous Cath Kidston sleepsuit and bibs that Nick bought for Milly when we went to London last weekend. 💜
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula - Tummy Butter for stretch marks.
I’ve been using this product so far in my pregnancy in order to try to prevent stretch marks. I liked the idea of it being a thick butter instead of a lotion & it also smells like heaven. I really don’t like the texture of it though, for some reason it sets like a greasy oil on the surface of my skin and does not absorb whatsoever, instead it soaks through my clothes. It’s a real shame because as I said the smell and the concept of it are both divine. I think I need to invest in a different product for my stretch marks in the near future.
Current bump size!
Yay, I finally look pregnant. Properly pregnant. :-) 24 weeks & a half.
I just had a look at the countdown ticker beside my blog and worked out that I will have exactly 100 days to go by Christmas Day. Exciting! 😁❤
